Workaholicism

  1. Do you get more excited about your work than about family or anything else?
  2. Are there times when you can charge through your work and other times when you can't?
  3. Do you take work with you to bed? On weekends? On vacation?
  4. Is work the activity you like to do best and talk about most?
  5. Do you work more than 40 hours a week?
  6. Do you turn your hobbies into money-making ventures?
  7. Do you take complete responsibility for the outcome of your work efforts?
  8. Have your family or friends given up expecting you on time?
  9. Do you take on extra work because you are concerned that it won't otherwise get done?
  10. Do you underestimate how long a project will take and then rush to complete it?
  11. Do you believe that it is okay to work long hours if you love what you are doing?
  12. Do you get impatient with people who have other priorities besides work?
  13. Are you afraid that if you don't work hard you will lose your job or be a failure?
  14. Is the future a constant worry for you even when things are going very well?
  15. Do you do things energetically and competitively including play?
  16. Do you get irritated when people ask you to stop doing your work in order to do something else?
  17. Have your long hours hurt your family or other relationships?
  18. Do you think about your work while driving, falling asleep or when others are talking?
  19. Do you work or read during meals?
  20. Do you believe that more money will solve the other problems in your life?
If you answered more then three of these questions with a "yes" you're a potential workaholic... I can answer at least 14 with a yes.

Oh well, nothing new there.

Carnivals

I am now, and probably forever more, addicted to carnivals.  I just love them and I can't believe I've been missing out for so long.  I rarely play the games because the rides are what I go for.

Maybe I'm weird, but I absolutely love the adrenaline rush and it feels peaceful to be on a ride.  The lack of control, with all the people screaming everywhere, and theres nothing to be done  until the ride controller decides the ride is over. And you never know when the ride controller will decide to screw with the passengers by making it go backwards randomly, or making the ride slow like its stopping before whirling back into full speed.

Or maybe I'm just the weird girl that gets on the rides and can't help but laugh  the entire time.

According To Molly

Written early last semester when I got lazy and refused to write an "About me" myself.

This is Phippsâ„¢. Or as I prefer to call her, Rachael. It's so she remembers she HAS a first name, honest. According to a name site her name means "The Image-Conscious Fun Loving Moody Role Play". I think that's pretty accurate. Rachael is creative, ingenious, and a bit crazy. She is also easily distracted by shiny objects. In her spare time, she likes to edit Wikipedia articles for style. Rachael is something of an asshole, but she is also sexy so it evens out. Sometimes when she is angry her eyes go orange, which is really cool. Rachael also refuses to drink anything other than diet Coke. There is no accounting for taste I suppose. She is a costuming prodigy, but she'll never mention it because she is a perfectionist and nothing she does is ever good enough for her. But when you can make complicated dresses without atterns and get your first job at an OPERA HOUSE before you're even 18, I think that qualifies you as something of a prodigy. Or at the very least some very hot shit. Rachael loves Barenaked Ladies and has a ton of musical Cd's that she would be only to glad to let you listen to and maybe possibly burn copies of if she likes you. Because she is just wonderful like that. She adores RENT. Rachael reads a lot, or she did before she became a workaholic, and her favorite author is Mercedes Lackey. Her best friend, Paul, is currently at boot camp and she misses him terribly. But she has me in the meantime, and I'm positively wonderful. Or so I keep reminding her. Rachael also makes a great pot of Ramen. In her spare time, she stumbles through the internet with her beloved Firefox browser. If you want to know anything else about Rachael, ask her. She loves attention.
